#101: Godspeed Dortmunder Lager (4.8%) from Toronto's newest brewery that opened its doors on Canada Day in
the Upper Beaches area pours liquid gold with terrifically balanced
flavours of lemon, soft malts and subtle bitterness.
The highly anticipated brewery from former Dieu du Ciel brewmaster Luc "Bim" Lafontaine welcomed an opening lineup of three beers (this Dortmunder, a stout and an IPA, all in 355 mL cans) from what it's calling the "Pitch and Pray Series" from its Coxwell Ave. location. An izakaya-style Japanese bar will be opening up tomorrow.
