Beer #166: Parson Devil's Right Hand The Father Barrel-Aged Stout (8%) finishes off my Parsons stash from the last trip to the brewery. And what a stout to close it out – aged in three different types of barrels. Dry, peaty Scotch flavours sing throughout from aging in a 42-year-old Ardbeg barrel, and just a hint of bourbon and rum sweetness to round it out from the Tennessee bourbon and Kinsip rum barrels. What a treat.
