I enjoyed this local beer at a local watering hole, The Shore Leave, in Toronto's Danforth Village. Ed Carter, who lives in my 'hood, founded
Danforth Brewery in 2016, and
Viaduct IPA (6% alc.) is the brewery's first beer, named after the Prince Edward Viaduct, the majestic bridge that connects downtown Toronto with the city's east end. I probably should've started off the project with this beer, since it's the closest to home, but No. 2 is OK, too. Very attractive caramel colour, some hoppiness, balanced with citrus notes.
